He was born on 24 May 1980 in São Mamede de Ribatua Parish.

He began his musical studies at the age of 10, with the São Mamede de Ribatua philharmonic band. He completed his 8th Level in the saxophone at the Santa Maria da Feira Music Academy, under Professor Paulo Martins.

He continued his studies at ESMAE, where he completed his Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree under Henk Van Twillert, Fernando Ramos and Gilberto Bernardes.

He has attended masterclasses with teachers such as Daniel Deffayet, Arno Bornkamp and Mario Marzi. As a saxophone player, he has been a member of the Army Symphony Band, the Porto Military Band and the Portuguese Saxophone Orchestra, Vento do Norte, among others.

He currently teaches the saxophone at Curso de Música Silva Monteiro and the Gaia Regional Conservatory.
