He has a Bachelor's Degree in the Viola from the Castelo Branco School of Applied Arts, under the guidance of Professor Jorge Alves.
He has attended several further technical and music training courses and masterclasses with: Ana Bela Chaves, Marc Tooten, Ryszard Wóycicki, Pedro Muñoz and David Wyn Lloyd. He has worked with the Porto Music Conservatory Orchestra, the Académica Orchestra, the Vale do Sousa String Ensemble, the ESART Ensemble, the Contemporary EvorEnsemble, the Minho Chamber Orchestra, the ESART Symphonic Orchestra, the Gaia Philharmonic Orchestra, the Espinho Classical Orchestra, the North Orchestra, the Madeira Classical Orchestra, the Algarve Orchestra and the Beiras Philharmonic Orchestra.
He has been a member of the Espinho Classical Orchestra since 2006.
He has had three solo concerts with the ESART String Ensemble, which were broadcast live by Antena 2. In July 2011, he did a solo performance in Cascais with ESART's baroque orchestra.
In August 2011, he became a founder member of the Lusitanae Ensemble.
He has had several solo concerts with the Ensemble. He teaches the Viola at the Maia Music Conservatory and at CMSM - Curso de Música Silva Monteiro.
