He completed his Percussion course at Espinho Vocational Music School and has a Bachelor's Degree in Music Technology and Production from ESMAE, as well as a Master's Degree in Music Teaching from the University of Aveiro.

Apart from teaching the drums at CMSM since 2016, he now also teaches at the Higher Institute of Education and Portuguese-French College.

As a musician, he has taken part in projects that go from jazz to contemporary music, such as Manel Cruz/Foge Foge Bandido, the Mário Barreiros Sextet, Helena Caspurro, HHY & The Macumbas, the Srosh Ensemble, the Portuguese Youth Orchestra, Raúl Marques and the Friends of Salsa and Pedro Abrunhosa and the Bandemónio. For RTP, he has also played with names such as Sérgio Godinho, António Pinho Vargas, Vitorino, José Mário Branco, and others.
