ANDREIA COSTA - Born in Esmoriz, she began her music studies at the Esmoriz Choral Group Music School. She completed her piano course at the Porto Music Conservatory, under Professor Teresa Xavier. She attended the Liturgical Music Course at the Porto Diocese School of Liturgical Ministers, where she studied the organ under Professor Rosa Amorim, harmony/improvisation under Professor Paulo Alvim and choral direction under Father Agostinho Pedroso.
She did her Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Music Teaching at the University of Aveiro, under piano teacher Álvaro Teixeira Lopes. She has had piano masterclasses with Fausto Neves, Jaroslaw Drzewiecki and Jonathan Ayerst. She also attended a Piano Course for pre-school age children: “Music moves for Piano” with Marilyn Lowe and a Piano Accompaniment Course with Gisela Herb.
She has taken part in several concerts, of note being: at Casa das Artes, Ateneu Comercial do Porto, the Concerto with 2 pianos, presenting CD 12 Nocturnos em teu Nome e Lume de Chão, by Amílcar Vasques Dias in July 2006 at the University of Évora and at Casa de Fralães. She performed at Casa da Música in the concert commemorating the 90th anniversary of the Porto Music Conservatory. More recently, she attended a piano sight-reading course and accompaniment with Jaime Mota and the 2nd National EPTA Congress. She was the accompanying pianist at the Royal Academy of Dance ballet auditions from 2003 to 2013. She has directed the Esmoriz Choir of Little Singers since 2000 and the Oleirense Musical Association's Youth Choir since 2003.
She has taught at the Vila Verde Music Academy and at the Arcozelo Piaget Institute. She is currently teaching at the Fornos Music Conservatory and Curso de Música Silva Monteiro, where she is also the Coordinator of the Curricular Department for Piano and Accompaniment, as well as Educational Adviser for piano students.
